Conclusions of a Full moon in Cancer .♋️✨ I’ve got to admit that I was a little afraid of the effect it would have on me . All other astrologers where talking about letting go.👋 But I came up with a totally different conclusion, and it was great.✨
As one of the main subjects of this Moon 🌕 was stability, it got me thinking how sometimes we tend to look for it on the outside, for example, if I don’t have a good job it means I’m not grown up enough, or like “at your age you should be thinking of starting a family” or expect to get all happiness or stability from just ONE relationship. Let me tell you, it goes deeper than that, way deeper. 🤔
I came across a photo of me and my dad when I was around 5, which got me thinking about my Moon and it’s characteristics, how it relates to our most basic emotional responses in all situations and how the sign that it’s in can tell us a lot about where we find comfort and where we feel safe. We don’t make changes when we feel safe, no matter how destructive that may be. ⚰
The moon can be a bit regressive, as it will always cause you to go back to what is easy for you, comfortable and known. For example a Pisces Moon ♓️ will recur to their inner magic world of imagination or an Aquarius ♒️moon will probably disconnect “freeze” the situation take a step back, rationalise and stop feeling.. Everyone finds stability in their own different and unique way and that will often relate back to our moon.
Aside from that, I would say that the Moon also represents our most vulnerable part as it can tell us a lot of about the relationship with our mothers or any other maternal figure. Most importantly, as Liz Greene says, it’s all about our inner child, always present, feeling vulnerable, needy and craving protection. It doesn’t matter which sign is it in, all signs have their regressive partsand less evolved aspects of them.
Having also a Cancer Ascendant, I’ve always heard how the relationship with my mum was going to be so important in my life and how I would ended up taking care of people, feeding them or having kids as a major life changer. If that’s the case so why not start with my inner child? If I don’t protect myself and find stability in my own body, mind and self or take care of that vulnerable side of me and stop trying to hide it, who will? It’s not fair.
Of course Mum ❤️is always there, every time I need her . Almost to the embarrassing point that I sometimes feel useless without her (hence now why I live 12.000 km away from home) ➖➖▶️Fact: distance doesn’t change a thing. I thought it will help me grow up, which in some ways it has… but I still find myself on the phone to my mum crying every now and then. Then on other days she worries too much and it begins to annoy me (Pisces moon square Uranus in Sagittarius).Anyway how will I ever expect as a psychologist to successfully heal, nurture and take care of others if I can’t do it for myself?
The Cancer Ascendent ✨♋️is also building up that space in life where you feel safe, I used to complain about how I never felt home which it’s true! I didn’t before, I don’t now either, but it’s about finding home in myself… I know sounds nuts! The analogy would be just like having an imaginary empty room and CHOOSING all the things I love and what makes me feel safe there, deciding what I want to let in and what I don’t, feeling protected.I know this is such a cliché but I don’t have kids so I can only imagine that the first instinct when you love a kid so much is to protect them, be aware of all their needs and stop them from suffering any pain in this life.
Start with your own Moon, love yourself, love your inner child. I’m sure that’s the major change in stability that this moon in cancer was trying to teach us.
Having the 12th house in Gemini♊️ and the south node in 3, you can see I like to keep my options open.
I’m never happy with ONE choice/thing/best friend/house/nationality or even country of living! You name it I’ve got at least 2, totally different from a Cancer moon or Sun. Saying that I’ve read so much about this years ago, but it’s the first time I can actually FEEL it, finally!🙌 Leaving all that Gemini (which I Love) behind and embrace Cancer – which I use to hate and find dull. It’s a process, it’s difficult for every ascendant no matter what sign is in .
I guess what I’m trying to say to both myself and others is love your main element, WATER… 💧stop trying to get FIRE 🔥or AIR✨. You won’t succeed at it within this life time. And if you ever read any astrology that makes you feel paranoid or worried that something bad is going to happen, stop reading!! It’s not good, it’s not helpful, energies are always there but everything is up to YOU. ❤️
